This page briefly deals with Internet eXchange Points in Romania.
An IX (or IXP) is a place which allows several participants to exchange IP (Internet) traffic. See more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_exchange_point
In Romania, the first Internet eXchange (IXP) is RoNIX – the Romanian Network for Internet eXchange. Being established by the non-for-profit Association of the Romanian ISPs, it is the largest IXP in terms of coverage, reaching the greatest number of end-users in Romania, on both residential and corporate market, respectively.
Other local IXPs:
InterLAN – the IX of the small operators;
Balcan-IX – the IX operated by the incumbent operator.
